Our internship program is offering an opportunity to work and gain experience working in Event Management – learning and developing your skills as part of the Conscious Living Team.

As part of this internship, you will be part of our team as we join one of Australia’s leading Event Management teams –  2-3 days a week for a 3-6 month period. The hours are flexible.

  • Preparing press materials

  • Mailing programs to clients on the visitor data base

  • Pulling excerpts bio and print material to create media releases

  • Researching various pitching angles for health and wellness businesses and practitioners and for potential visitors to the expo

  • Creating content for social media

  • Drafting ad copy for Facebook, Instagram, Google, ad campaigns and researching target groups

  • Liaising with Clients and creating profiles for online and ticketing site.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Intern to join our passionate and enthusiastic team with an interest in the following areas – Publicity, Social Media & Marketing; Website management.

You will have one-on-one mentorship with the founder director of the company, our international business coach and other team members!

The successful candidate will have a keen interest in event management; social media, marketing and a LOVE for living a healthy and vibrant life and a passion for personal health and wellbeing for self and others.

This is an unpaid internship . At the conclusion of your successful internship you will receive a reference and we will be happy to act as a referee for you in the future. 

 

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

This internship is for designed for students or new graduates who are currently studying a degree in event management, business, communications, marketing or media, who are looking for experience in event management.

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

Available to commit part-time (12-15 hours per week) for a minimum of three months.

  • be confident and have a desire to work in the event
  • Studying event management, business, communications, marketing or media would be advantageous.
  • Be familiar with current and emerging digital & social media platforms
  • Numbers oriented and an ability to analyse trends from sets of data
  • Experience with Excel Prepared to take on tasks and show initiative
  • Strong communication skills and great attention to detail
  • Intern candidate must be familiar with Google Docs and Microsoft Excel.
  • Things That Would Help

Effective multi-tasking and can deliver tasks on time.

Proficiency using photo editors,

Proficiency using SEO and Google Trends software.

The other type of client we have are those people who have a passion for dynamic change in the world.

Our visitor clients are looking for solutions to life style issues around health wellness and environmentally friendly products. They are looking to transform their lives and find their purpose in life and many are on a spiritual pathway.

Conscious Living is a long-standing business with 30 years in the Event Management. We help businesses in the health and wellness field and authors market their services and products face to face at our event .

Founder and Director: Patricia Hamilton has been a pioneer in organizing events and seminars to activate awareness of health and consciousness in Australia. In 1987 she created the first Directory of Natural Health Therapists: the Blue Pages in Western Australia. This led to the establishment of the first Conscious Living Expo in August 1988 and in June 1989 the publication of the first edition of Conscious Living Magazine.
